Maintaining the original quality and value of your property is easy if you take the time to perform regular upkeep. Sticking to a maintenance schedule will minimize the work and maximize the value of your new home.

Annually

  • Have furnace and A/C serviced
  • Drain hot water tank
  • Check weather stripping around doors for drafts and leaks
  • Insulate outside pipes at the beginning of winter to prevent pipes from freezing
  • Replace batteries in all smoke detectors, your family’s safety depends on it
  • Inspect for termites and other pest infestations
  • Change the filters in furnace and A/C units (bi-annually)
  • Inspect exterior for any rotted wood or pealing paint

Always

  • Fix dripping faucets, toilet tanks and check under sinks for active leaks
  • Replace light bulbs
  • Inspect roof for damage after windstorms
